It is very natural to worry about your future when you are on the verge to complete your graduation. Australia, a beautiful country, just like its geographical diversity, the culture for international students is vibrant. Australia has a great working environment with a high-end lifestyle, a well-reputed education system, and an amazing opportunity for anyone looking to work or settle in.

There is a lot of options for a student after completing graduation. A young graduate will look for work opportunities in one’s field. The Australian education system is well-reputed throughout the world. People from different ethnicity come here to work, or study and then later work here.

Let us see some of the things one can pursue :

Technical-Work: Australia has a very sweet approach towards attracting people with technical skills. The country has vast resources and yet lack in the skill-full workforce, so they have many attracting schemes which attract people from different corner of the world to choose Australia for work and even to settle. Therefore, if you are a graduate from a technical background, try to get a post-graduate working visa and make your way towards earning points for the P.R.

Traveling: The coral beach and kangaroos jumping in your backyard may have awe-struck you when you were new in Australia. But how much you have traveled while completing your graduation? College-work-home, and weekends! Well, that could have been your daily routine back in your hometown. It is very much common with students, who take a year of working-tourist visa and go hiking in the Tropical forest of Queensland, to watch the snow in the Alps of the southern-eastern part, to get tanned at Whitehaven beach in Queensland or just discover the beautiful cities of the world’s smallest continent. You can extend your working-tourist visa after 12 months for another 12 months.

Tourist-visa: If you have enough savings and want a sigh of relief after completing your graduation, then you can probably take a tourist Visa for a year and travel around. However, you cannot work on a tourist visa.

Plan your Master’s programs: It is highly expected to complete your master’s if you are planning to work in Australia in the future. You can enroll in master’s programming at your university or submit a request for student exchange programs. One benefit to study in Australia is that students from different ethnicity are studying here and you get to learn so much about a different culture, make good networking and get to learn about many opportunities unknown.

Permanent Residence: If you have completed your graduation and are looking forward to a decent job to earn you a good lifestyle in Australia, then you might plan on completing a professional year. This is more relevant if you are a graduate in IT, engineering, or a doctor. There are many ways you can apply for a Permanent Residence visa, however, after completing graduation, one becomes eligible for the Employer Nomination Scheme Visa, Skilled Independent Visa, etc. For better details, one can check the home affairs page of the Australian government.

Home-bound or to plan for an overseas Masters: It is very convenient for a student after graduation to return home and carry on with life by getting a job and staying with family. But, the challenges and opportunity will be different as compared to Australia, it might be more feasible in hometown but a graduate from Australia would have more expectations, plans and would be well aware of the opportunity one is seeking. Whereas many students work for two years and seek to do their masters from abroad to enrich their capabilities and knowledge by traveling and learning.

You can say there are ample roads to take after your graduation, you need not worry because once you are in college you will make a good network of friends, teachers, mentors who will guide you in your journey. “It’s a big shot that requires a strong yet smart swing”!
